Q&A with Lyndsey
What attracted you to join Eaton Syalon at this point in your career?
I’ve worked with Jo and Dom for years, and I know firsthand their passion for delivering an exceptional recruitment experience. The way Eaton Syalon has grown in such a short space of time is incredible, and it was the perfect opportunity to be part of something special. Their values align completely with how I work—building trusted, long-term relationships with clients and candidates and genuinely making a difference in the industry.
But what really sealed the deal for me was Eaton Syalon’s commitment to true flexibility. As a busy working mum of two, having the ability to work in a way that balances career and family life isn’t just a ‘nice to have’, it’s crucial. Eaton Syalon doesn’t just talk about work-life balance, they actually make it happen. The trust, autonomy, and flexibility here mean I can perform at my best both professionally and personally, and that was a huge factor in my decision to join.
You’ve worked with Jo and Dom before—what excites you about teaming up again?
We’ve always worked brilliantly together because we share the same work ethic and standards when it comes to recruitment. We know what great recruitment looks like, and there’s a huge amount of trust and mutual respect. Plus, we have a lot of fun along the way, which makes a huge difference in a fast-paced industry like this!
What do you love most about recruitment?
For me, it’s all about people. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping a candidate find the perfect role and seeing them thrive. Equally, I love working with businesses to understand their challenges and deliver solutions that make a real impact. Recruitment is never just about filling a vacancy—it’s about creating lasting partnerships, and that’s what I’m passionate about.
How would you describe your approach to recruitment?
I focus on quality over quantity. I take the time to truly understand what a business needs beyond just a job description. I also make sure candidates feel valued and supported throughout the process. Honesty, integrity, and a personal touch are at the heart of how I work.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to candidates or hiring managers in today’s market?
For candidates: Be open-minded about opportunities and focus on cultural fit as much as job responsibilities. Your career is a long-term journey, and the right environment can make all the difference.
For hiring managers: A great recruitment experience is crucial. Clear, timely communication and a streamlined process will ensure you don’t lose out on top talent in today’s competitive market.
If you had to describe your work ethic in three words, what would they be?
Committed. Personable. Results-driven.
Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?
Spending time with family and friends is really important to me. I love getting outdoors when I can, and I’m always up for a good restaurant recommendation! I also enjoy keeping active, whether that’s the gym, walks, or anything that helps switch off from the busy world of recruitment.
Having navigated the ups and downs of work and life together over the last 10 years we’re absolutely thrilled to have Lyndsey on board and can’t wait to see the impact she makes at Eaton Syalon. If you’d like to connect with her, drop her a message or say hello in the comments!
