Q: What inspired the launch of Eaton Syalon, and what sets it apart from other recruitment agencies in the East Midlands?

Dom: Eaton Syalon was born out of our collective passion for connecting individuals with their dream careers. We are keen to bring something fresh to the East Midlands recruitment scene. What sets us apart is our commitment to a personalised touch – meaningful connections, tailor-made solutions, and a genuine understanding of our clients and candidates.

Q: You have over 40 years of combined experience. How has this journey shaped your approach to professional services recruitment?

Jo: Our journey has been a blend of experiences, each contributing to our unique approach. With over four decades of combined experience, we bring not only expertise but a deep love for what we do. Our journey is unique in the world of recruitment as Dom and I have stayed incredibly close to the heart of the market throughout our careers, we are recruiters through and through. This has instilled in us a commitment to excellence and a true understanding of the East Midlands market.

Q: The tagline for Eaton Syalon is “Shape Your Tomorrow”. How does this philosophy drive your day to day operations and interactions with clients and candidates?

Dom: “Shape Your Tomorrow ” is more than a tagline; it’s our guiding principle. It means being invested in the success of both our clients and candidates. Every decision we make, every connection we foster, is geared towards contributing to the success stories of the individuals and businesses we partner with.

Q: What specific areas of professional services do you specialise in, and why did you choose these niches?

Jo: We specialise in Accountancy & Finance, HR/People, Executive Appointments, and Professional Services. These areas are aligned with our expertise and extensive network built over many years, they also reflect the demands of the East Midlands market. We wanted to continue to focus on niches where we could truly make a difference and add significant value. Dom & I have seen the market becoming increasingly candidate driven, the race to secure the best talent in a competitive market has never been so important.

Q: Breaking away to start Eaton Syalon must have been a huge decision. What motivated this move, and what excites you most about this new chapter?

Dom: The decision to break away was driven by a desire for fulfilment and the freedom to build a business we were truly proud of. What excites us most is the prospect of crafting a brand that reflects our values, a brand that goes beyond business and becomes a positive force in the professional services recruitment space.  Eaton Syalon felt like the next natural step in our journey, it had been a dream for such a long time and we are delighted to finally make the dream a reality.

Q: Building relationships is key in recruitment. How do you grow and maintain strong, lasting connections with clients and candidates?

Dom: Eaton Syalon values the art of relationship-building. Our career to date has seen us develop many long-standing connections with clients and candidates through proactive communication, understanding individual needs, and delivering personalised solutions. Our commitment to transparency, reliability, and consistent engagement ensures that these relationships thrive.

Q: What qualities do you believe make a candidate stand out in the recruitment process, especially in the East Midlands market?
